Commentary
Between Boardwalk Empire, Mad Men, and The Good Wife, this race for Best Supporting Actor is almost done. Of all of those men, John Slattery, Chris Noth, Michael Stuhlbarg, Michael Pitt, Michael Shannon, and Alan Cumming all have the best shot of those really long lists to get in. Hell it could just be those six, and we have our nominees! But I think there are a couple of other really strong contenders. Andre Braughter surprised all of us with a nod for the underrated Men of a Certain Age, and since the Emmys love him, I don't see why he wouldn't get nominated again. I also think that Donnie Wahlberg could easily get a nod for the very popular Blue Bloods, as could Tom Selleck. Then there are a few wildcards such as John Noble in Fringe, and Ifran Kahn in In Treatment, which could slip in, but could just as easily slip through the cracks.

  1. I'd also include Denis O'Hare of "True Blood" on this list!! He was incredible this past season as the Vampire King of Mississippi!!
