Emmy Nomination Predictions: Best Guest Actress in a Comedy Series

My Predictions
Carol Burnett "Glee"
Tina Fey "SNL"
Cloris Leachman "Raising Hope"
Mary Tyler Moore "Hot in Cleveland"
Gwyneth Paltrow "Glee"
Elaine Stritch "30 Rock"

Other Contenders - Jessica Walter "The Big Bang Theory", Amy Poehler "SNL", Kristen Chenoweth "Glee", Shelley Long "Modern Family", Megan Mullaly "Parks & Recreation", Celia Weston "Modern Family", Cynthia Nixon "The Big C", Gabourey Sidibe "The Big C", Sherri Shepherd "30 Rock", Dot Marie Jones "Glee", Queen Latifah "30 Rock"

Commentary - This is a really tough race, as most of you can tell simply from all of the incredible names listed below. There are a few sure bets. Gwenyth Paltrow rocked Glee this season and brings an Oscar winning pedigree. Tina Fey is an SNL legend, and a name that is easy to check off without regret. Cloris Leachman and Elaine Stritch are Emmy winning legends who are sure to be top contenders to win. But beyond those four, the competition gets pretty stiff. Many have already written off Mary Tyler Moore, but I think her name recognition, and Hot in Cleveland's potential Emmy successes means that they have written her off too soon. Finally, I went Carol Burnett. I think she is close to a lock, but there are plenty of Glee guest stars who will also be fighting for the spot including a previous nominee for her Glee role, Kristin Chenoweth.
