Commentary - Of course, the year they shrink down the category, there are tons of great contenders that could be nominated. Well with only five or six potential spots, some great series/movies will be left out. For example, The Sunset Limited and Luther are more acting showcases than overall great productions and I predict they will both be snubbed. The Brits will offer Upstairs, Downstairs and Downtown Abbey to the mix, and will be rewarded with nominations for both. HBO's Cinema Verite, Too Big to Fail, and Mildred Pierce feature big time actors, and got rave reviews, meaning the HBO machine in this category (previously categories) will continue. Finally, the critical darling Carlos looks to give IFC a huge, and well-deserved, Emmy nomination.
