Emmy Nomination Predictions: Best Supporting Actress in a TV Movie/Miniseries

My Predictions
Eileen Atkins "Upstairs, Downstairs"
Melissa Leo "Mildred Pierce"
Maggie Smith "Dowtown Abbey"
Betty White "The Lost Valentine"
Evan Rachel Wood "Mildred Pierce"

Other Contenders - Cynthia Nixon "Too Big to Fail", Marcia Gay Harden "Amanda Knox...", Ruth Wilson "Luther", Kim Cattrall "Any Human Heart", Gilliam Anderson "Any Human Heart", Mare Winningham "Mildred Pierce", Alison Pill "Pillars of the Earth", Sarah Parrish "The Pillars of the Earth"

Commentary - Two British greats in Maggie Smith and Eileen Atkins return again to the Emmy fold has top-notch contenders for not only a nomination, but for the big Kahuna itself. Mildred Pierce has at least three ladies that could end up in this category, Evan Rachel Wood being a lock for her swarthy Veda. If Emmy voters actually watch the episodes Mare Winningham would be the other nominee, but Melissa Leo's recent Oscar status means she has a better shot at getting in. Finally, I am going out on a limb. Marcia Gay Harden, Ruth Wilson, and Cynthia Nixon are all better contenders for the sixth slot, and have a great shot at getting in. But don't forget the Emmy love for the legendary Betty White. I am predicting that her name on the ballot alone will be enough to get her another Emmy nomination.
