  1. I don't think Downton will win. It's still a long shot. I think Mad Men is still the frontrunner, and then Homeland. I really wish Breaking Bad would win though.

I agree with your acting predictions except on supporting actor drama, which I think will and should go again to Aaron Paul, and also on the supporting actor comedy. I think Jesse has the weakest chance out of all the MF guys, I think Ty or Ed are getting it. I'm interested to read why you think Jesse is winning. Joosten, may she RIP, is probably going to win, but I really hope Vergara gets an Emmy for Gloria someday. I feel Modern Family is losing momentum and it's now or never. :(

    Love your blog, congrats.

  2. First of all Thanks! I am going with Downton as a knee-jerk first reaction simply because it had so many surprising nominations, and Mad Men did as well as it usually does. I just have a feeling that they are not ready to annoint it the greatest drama series of all time, and this year with Downton, Breaking Bad returning with 13 nods, and Homeland this may be the year there is enough competition to beat it. Although itwill not be an easy task. In terms of Paul, that category has had like 16 different winners in a row and if that trend contineus then Paul and Dinklage are on the outside looking in. Esposito also had one of those explosive roles that will most likely have the best episode submission, despite lack of name recognition like Margo Martindale last year.

In terms of the Supporting Actor Comedy, Burrell and O'Neill are definitely the bigger names, but on this season of Modern Family, I actually think Ferguson was more of a standout. I also think that when we look at all the episode submissions, that his might end up being the best, like his co-stars were the last two years. He probably won't end up winning, or being my final prediction, but I think he has a better shot than most people give him credit for.
