2012 NYFCC Runner Ups

Normally, as they are announcing, they put up their runners up, but this year they did not until after the fact. After tomorrow's NBR, I will be talking about the impact of both critics groups on the Oscar race before the onslaught of Washington DC, LA, and Boston in the coming week or so. Here is a look at those that just missed the cut for the win:

Best Picture
Argo and The Master

Best Director
Paul Thomas Anderson "The Master" and Ben Affleck "Argo"

Best Actor
Jack Black "Bernie", Joaquin Phoenix "The Master", Denis Lavant "Holy Motors"

Best Actress
Jennifer Lawrence "Silver Linings Playbook" and Emmanuelle Riva "Amour" (apparently Jessica Chastain was also in the mix for Zero Dark Thirty)

Best Supporting Actress
Anne Hathaway "Les Miserables" and "The Dark Knight Rises"

Best Supporting Actor
Christoph Waltz "Django Unchained" and Tommy Lee Jones "Lincoln"

Best Cinematography
The Master

Best Screenplay
Zero Dark Thirty and Moonrise Kingdom
