2013 Cannes Film Festival Full Lineup

This is the first really important announcement about next year's Oscar season. And this year Cannes could really play a big role in the upcoming awards race with films from Sofia Coppola, Baz Luhrmann, Alexander Payne, the Coen Bros., Roman Polanski, Stephen Frears, Sofia Coppola, Asghar Farhadi, as well as the Sundance Hit Fruitvale Station (recently and unfortunately renamed by Harvey and Co.). I am particularly excited by Nebraska, and Only God Forgives from Nicholas Winding Refn (although I'm pretty sure it won't be an Oscar contenders). The Cannes Film Festival runs from May 15th to May 26th, and The Awards Psychic will be updating you all on the buzz from the fest as we get a glimpse at early Oscar contenders. Meanwhile, continue to follow the Best of the Emmys series, and look next week for Tony Nomination Predictions as well as the nominations themselves. This May, Cannes will be on the plate, as well as Emmy coverage officially launching, and a new summer series: Top 100 Television Shows Since 2000. So stay tuned!!
