The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Award Nominees

I will do a full analysis tonight, because BAFTA has become an incredibly important precursor for the Oscars, but there are definitely some game changers in this bunch. Gravity leads with 11 nods, and American Hustle and 12 Years are right behind it with 10.

  1. I was hoping "WRECK-IT RALPH" would somehow get a nomination. I honestly believe its early 2013 British release ruined its Oscar chances by losing the British voting bloc of the Academy.

  2. And the same British block not only didn't vote for Wreck-It Ralph, but they voted for Brave, along with the Pixar fanatics over year, leading to its victory.
