National Board of Review Winners

I love love love love love that Mad Max takes the first prize of this season. After A Most Violent Year did so well last year, I am a bit nervous about NBR's continued track record, but either way, at least the season has started off to an interesting and wild start, even if it eventually settles into its groove. The Martin love helps Damon and particularly Ridley Scott who I think is the front runner for the Director prize. Brie Larson seems like she could be a start to finish winner, and I love that outside contenders Stallone and Leigh made the cut (also that there is clearly love for The Hateful Eight).
